ATM’s main base is located in a town called Doisaket which is about a 20-30 minute drive north of Chiang Mai City. ATM has been ministering to the local communities in Thailand and Burma for nearly 30 years and has seen many different types of ministries develop to help reach the most remote areas of Thailand and Burma bringing the Gospel, Discipleship Training, Aid and other mercy and development projects. If you says it’s too hard to get to that’s exactly where we want to go! Our desire is to reach those who are in desperate need both spiritually and physically. The main ministry projects we run are
1. A Discipleship Training School for the Tribal groups who come from remote mountain areas
2. A Mothers and Babies shelter which rescues and provides restoration for mothers and their new born babies or orphans who have been abandoned. Our aim is to try and keep families together to prevent the risk of being trafficked, providing a way for them to get out of poverty through vocational training and job opportunities.
3. Evangelism and Outreaches which run throughout the year which visiting teams can join in to help bring the Gospel and Development/Aid to remote villages in Thailand and Burma.
In all of these areas there are two main focuses which determine our activities and goals and that is to preach the Gospel of the grace of Jesus Christ and practically show the love of Christ through different kinds of service, development projects such as water purification systems, support for schools and school supplies, house visit to families, prayer etc. Every outreach trip is different and there are many unexpected things that come up such as running a burn victim across the border to receive medical attention, taking a family diagnosed with TB to get treatment ultimately saving the whole village from an outbreak, building a roof for a family whose house had no roof. There are just so many things and ways to show the love of Christ – you CAN do something! So come out and join our ATM team to reach out to those who need it the most.
