Around 2003 a young man, Veeraphong Sinpu had a vision of combining sports with prayer and worship and learning more about God. He started his outreach outside of MaeLaNoi and in 2006 was joined in this vision by Ray and Candace Ward Ministries. Around 2008/09 they moved the ministry to the MaeLaNoi District where it is located today. Over these past years Veeraphong has worked closely with the chief community leaders, the high school and elementary school directors. Through this diligent effort, Veeraphong has been asked to set up sports programs in the district and many of the schools. Both in soccer and in volleyball. Team objectives and duties would include, but not limited to, the following: to help set-up and run community and district sports competition and tournaments. Mainly in soccer and volleyball. To teach and assist in schools and public sports programs. To play in these sports, participate in student activities, and teach students good sportsmanship. All the time building personal and spiritual relationships with the students, teachers, directors, and people in the community. Along with the sports we would like the teams to share in and see Thailand culture and the history of the Thai people. We will visit and prayer walk the LAWA mountain village. Visit, prayer walk, share church and testimony with a local Karen village and assist the community in some clean-up projects, if asked. We are looking for teams that love God, love sports, and love building relationships both personal and spiritual. Please come and share with us today!
