Home of the Open Heart has always sought to embody God’s heart for family and community. Our ministry began with seeking ways to reach out to and walk alongside families in Chiang Rai who were impacted in some way by HIV/AIDS.
We were blessed to have some children join our family, when their own birth parents died. We have become family to them and have cared for them from infancy through to adulthood. Some children are still in our care but those who have grown to adulthood, still call us mum & dad.
The primary focus of our work is currently on both community work and caring for the children, teens, and young adults who have become our family. We continue to support HIV-affected families, some of whom previously lived with us but are now more independent, living nearby in our community.
Volunteer opportunities:
We receive volunteers who are willing to do service projects, such as painting, woodwork, building cupboards, garden or landscaping work
